Wild Potatoe Vine: friend or foe?

I got a load of leaf litter from a neighbor, after spreading it noticed all these vines sprouting from what looked like avocado seeds. I kept pulling them out (sometimes 2 doz. a day) as it seemed obviously invasive. I finally i.d.'d it as wild potatoe vine, a native in the morning glory family. Should I leave a few growing along the fence, or will I regret it. I've pulled up all the sod in front of the house and replaced it with native bushes and plants. Does it die back in winter or with a frost? I noticed some in the woods on the back edge of the property and it doesn't seem to be taking over.
