2 FFO and seedlings

I had Tuscawilla Tigress and Sunshine City open today. SC isn't open fully but I'll see how it is doing later this afternoon.

My red NOID opened the second flower. The bloom had a lot more black in it, but the picture doesn't show the cherry red that's still there.

This is my second year seedling I was waiting for. I liked the creamy edge last year but now it also has ruffling.

I like that last seedling! Tuscawilla Tigress has really been going strong here, most of my daylilies are finished, but TT is still blooming.

I really like that last seedling also. I like the lines in it to where it looks like darker pink ink is drawn into the veins. I am always drawn to the daylilies with that, just beautiful. Rena'

Julia - Yes, I'm holding back because of tall grass and weeds growing in my gardens. My gardens look like hillbilly hell this year. The clumps are the most you're going to see until I get a chance to tame them. Jean, I'm glad your favorite is Cimarron Rose, she is a special one. Debra, well you could be right about Notta Butte. I looked at all the photos online, and some are quite close to Mandarin Seas. But this has been such a strange year and the blooms are not all looking like their normal selves. What I like about Notta Butte, AKA Mandarin Seas, is that the orangeness is not really an orange throat, and it's not really an orange watermark, an it's not really an orange eye. It looks like someone took a paintbrush dipped in cantaloupe and brushed outward from the throat, feathering as they went along. So pretty. Happy Daylilies to you. Christine

No siblings of this cross. This is one of my 10 Gaskins seedlings I purchased this summer. I wasn't expecting to see blooms this year but have gotten to see 3 of them bloom. I bought these to use in my hybridizing. No plans on registering any of them. Of the 3 that have bloomed I see potential and lots of room for improvement. I've noted what I'd like to see changed with each plant and plan on crossing it with something to help with those changes. I'd love to see this one as an EMO and deeper coloring. It has 5 way branching but low bud count. So I'll look at some of my darker EMO's with better bud count and same or better branching. Pollinate and hope for the best.

I posted this one's first bloom 2 days or so ago, So Lovely x Priscilla's Rainbow. It has changed already. This one is 7" instead of 6. It now shows an eye and there is more cream edge. The throat absolutely glowed green even though it had been in the sun much of the day. 10 buds. This is it's sibling, first bloom. Short, only 3 buds. It measured 6" but if it hadn't recurved it would be 7 or 8. I'm gonna wait to post more. These two took a huge amount of time. Brad
