I love the sound of bubblers and water. What do you have that makes it a special place to sit listening to bubbling water. Here's my 2

The bowl from the original bubbler fountain fell apart when I got laid off a few years ago and moved it home. It was from this sweet guy I worked with. I found this old brass handled bucket that Dennis had and put all the stuff inside it to make a new fountain. It is my favorite place to sit.

How pretty! I LOVE the sound of trickling water. I have a book full of fountain designs, but have never made one. Yet. I even bought a small rigid pond liner. Getting power to the spot is what brought me to a standstill. I can do a lotta things but I don't mess with electricity! Now, I'm looking into solar power. cora

when it's warm and dry? whatever is on my feet really but i've altered my shoe collection to be garden-oriented at this point pretty much. ;) flipflops, soludos espadrilles (good price and comfy), clogs. for when i'm digging and getting muddy i've got a pair of croc boots that i love - so ridiculously comfy - don't get too hot, really soft, easy on and off and waterproof. i can't be bothered with anything that laces or zips anymore. ;) Here is a link that might be useful: croc rain boots

Kathi - are you looking for pictures of vinyl or linoleum? These are two different products, however, people tend to mix them up. Linoleum is a natural product, which is now made by Forbo (some other companies make it, Armstrong for one, but Forbo is the one I'm familiar with) and is now called Marmoleum (I think they lost the rights to the original word). Vinyl is a man made product. Linoleum is completely made from natural products BTW, it is very hygenic, repairable, and pretty easy to keep clean. It's also quite soft to walk on and comes in a great amount of colors which can be mixed and matched and cut into patterns. It does require some maintenance and an installer who knows what they are doing. My old job installed it in the entrance area and it wore pretty well.

I tossed all of my oddball colored shoes a few weeks ago while I was re-organizing yet again. I had an adorable pair of olive green heels that went with absolutely nothing I own, nor do I have anywhere to wear them. I also tossed some red pumps. I'm not sure where they came from, once again, nothing matched. I slimmed my shoes down to things that I wore often or would need in the future and didn't want to pay for a new pair if required (2 pair of tennis shoes, a black and brown pair of dressy boots, a black pair of closed toe heels, and a super cute pair of wedge sandals that I wear with casual dresses in the event I need to look nice for a meal out without kids). Generally, I wear flip flops all of the time and kept 6 pairs that take up the same amount of space as a pair of tennis shoes. They will break and I will throw them away. When I get down to 2 pair, I stock up again when they go on clearance. I also kept one pair of riding boots, and two pair of snow boots that stay in a cabinet outside of the back door with my rubber boots. I keep my dress shoes in plastic shoe boxes stacked on the floor in the back of the closet and my dress boots in a box in the attic with the other out of season clothing.

Gee, I'm getting ideas here. I don't really like wearing shoes, but love to have them. My favs are anything thong (shoes, that isn - we don't wear that other type). My sister actually calls me the queen of thong sandals. I don't think I've found a pair of thong sandals that I can't wear, or don't look OK on my feet. Too bad I have bad feet that hurt. But I think that's why I can wear the thongs so well. It does help that I had a spur removed at my big toe and there is no rubbing - at all, ever. But after reading these posts, I need to try some crocs. I have some thong water resistant Burkies that I've worn almost totally out. Of course they are thongs! But I just might try crocs. How do they look on size 10 feet???? I don't need pink ones, do I - LOL.

OH, how cool!! I've never seen "rain rocks" before. Is this something you created from scratch or are they a "store bought" kit type item? I'm also curious about the black looking grass tucked around the edges. What is it please?

Ricky, is that the black mondo grass you were offering at the swap? Why oh why didn't I saw I wanted it?!? It's fabulous. And so is this pond.

Cindee, I love your water gardens and bubblers. I wish I did have something I could shoe you but I haven't tapped into the fountain part of the water gardens yet. Right now I'm solely into still water.

cora - The fountain was made by a guy in Louisiana. I don't know if he's still in business or not, but Bushel Stop bought a few of them. I sold 20 or 30 of them over a span of years. Great fountain, simple construction, and it makes lots of sound.

Those are all awesome!

I don't have a water thingy...waaaaaaah! I keep saying I'm going to build on, but I never have. Maybe this year. I'd like a bubbler outside my front door under the window. I'm thinking of a large pot filled with rocks (so there will be no one toting it off), but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Kate and Sillybugs you both are too much!! HEY Bugs, those would be great to garden in, do they come in 9Med?? They match my red sweater purrfectly!!! I'd look really HOT wearing those while scooting around on my garden scooter! LOL

Yeah, I think Crocs makes a waterproof version with a squishy lucite sole and furry red fringe. Perfect for the garden! Where can I get a pair?!?

No way can I compete with Felix and Ricky but I recently made this one out of a strawberry jar and it sits in my sunroom.It has a very soothing sound.
