Thanks everybody!! Yeah, I know about JB and soapy water, they drown in just water too. I was just too lazy today morning to do it. Nan's First Blush is a bit taller this year, 25-26" all scapes. I think it looks creamy white in the picture as this is how it looks. In the morning shade it looks whiter. JuliaNY, I don't know why but mine are way earlier this year. Prediction was doing this (fused) and doubling last year too, once in a while, usually by the end of blooming. About heat/sun tolerance - I checked on them at one pm (one!!!) and most of them were not looking good already, curled inward petals, 'cooked' color etc. So sad.

Glad you liked the photos Debra and Jan! Debra - I really enjoyed the open garden tour, but I can't imagine having to deadhead a thousand daylilies! If you're interested, I have some more long shots of the garden that I didn't post because you can't see the daylilies that well, but you can see the overall layout better. I just got Mystic Mariner last fall and this is it's first season here, but I think it's going to be a favorite for me too! I hope All American Baby blooms for you - it's another of my favorites. I sometimes wish they were bigger too, but they are very cute the size they are. Juliet
