Well yes, Jean you are correct. Some of them roses are on top of the garage also where they have grown over.

I think your garden looks fabulous. The roses are fantastic. I'm glad you put the name on Red Alert because I ave that one and have lost the label.. Lava Flow is doing it's thing. Looks good!! Ellie

Ellie, Red Alert is one of my very favorite lilies. I have it planted in a row back there near the fence and each year it puts on a really nice show.

We got a reprieve from the rain today. The rains are suppose to return tomorrow again. Enjoy the rain because, as you know, the weather can turn on a dime and be hot and humid.

It keeps raining every day here too. I think that Lava Flow looks extra-fetching with the raindrops on it...sorta brings out the colors. Your roses in the half-round planters are exceptional. Just out of curiousity, what is that parking area across the street from your house? It makes me wonder if people parking there must look over at your yard and be dazzled by all the beautiful flowers. If I were parking there I would cross the street to go have a closer look! Everything looks green and lush and I still love that Vernal Tutone!

Everything looks so lush. I need more rain here, only had a good soaking on one day. Your roses are just so beautiful. I think I need to plant more, I only have a few. Lava Flow does look good, mine is just about ready to bloom.

Lava Flow really looks good, I bet it really stands out. The clump of Vernal Two tone looks good too. I have some red lilies that remind me of your Red Alert, I think mine are called Monte Negro. Very deep red. Mine are pretty well gone now, a few flowers left. Most of the Asiatics are finished. You are making me wish I had picked up some of the clearance lily bulbs & planted more between my daylilies. I do have a few, but more would be better :)

Very good FFO on Lava flow, so bright. I had my first big daylily FFO today too, but it was absolutely not picture-worthy.

We've had a lot of rain here in Delaware also. With very cool nights so the daylilies don't want to open until 10am. I keep snapping petals trying to force them open before the sun is out.

I love Vernal Two-Tone. There is just something about bicolors that appeals to me. And the rose planters are gorgeous!

The roses in the half round planters are glorious come rain or shine. Lava Flow's bright colors are a beacon through through the raindrops. The lilies are such a pretty shade of red!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. The garden really is full of color just about everywhere I look and that is how I like it.

Celeste, there is a 16 acre park accross the street which has the beach right here by Long Island Sound. I am on the north shore. There are houses only on one side of the street here. It is lovely here and quiet in the summer as only residents of our town are allowed to get stickers to enter the park. A little more busy on weekends but really only a big deal on major summer Holidays. The park is lovely and the beach very convenient for a dip on a hot summer day.

Rita, what a perfect setting for you to live! Being right next to a park, no houses across the street, and an ocean beach at your disposal! Very, very nice. I love the ocean so much. I was born and grew up down South on the ocean. But I actually like New England beaches better, with the rocks and the clear water & lighthouses. You have a nice little paradise there. Enjoy your summer!

While I hate winter just because I really hate winter weather I really love spring and summer and fall here. It is just so pretty. I walk around the park often. It is open with mostly lawn, lots of big trees and some shrubs. The beach area is sandy and large. There is a fishing jetty which the fishermen like. If I get tired of open and want woodland trails I just keep walking as directly next to that park is a county nature preserve with nicely marked trails so you just walk thru from one to the other. I like to visit the pond area there that is fed by an underground spring. That has beach front also but you can't swim there, just walk along there. So I feel that I have all the benefits of a large estate grounds with none of the upkeep!

I can look out the big picture window in my living room and actually see the water from my home.

So many beautiful flowers to look at. I always love your garden shots.

Love the roses and the Red Alert is very pretty.
