I've been considering Riot on the Kindergarten Bus -- glad to see it in your garden!

Glad your daylily season is strongly underway. I like SUNNY SPOT the best. Does is rebloom for you? A description on the Riverbend website says it reblooms multiple times.

I love Riot On the Kindergarden Bus. It is so bright and it starts up early.

I bought Sunny Spot because of those reblooms multiple times claims. Had it since the first intro year. Never rebloomed for me.

Rita, am so glad your daylilies are starting up now.Waiting to see BARNEY blooming again,:)TENNESSEE AFTERGLOW is very pretty and LAVA FLOW is a nice bright one, too.My favorite one is RED RAMPAGE.

Your daylilies just jumped right in there! Lots of color, & lots I like. Tennessee Afterglow has such a pretty eye, & looks like just a hint of a matching edge, I love the color of the eye. The Paul Owen Seedling is just lovely, and I adore the crisp colors of Sunny Spot.
I'm not seeing any sign yet of rebloom on Early and Often here, although it is a pretty flower. It is probably still settling in some though. I think my daylilies are at peak or maybe a bit past. A couple of early ones just finished blooming, unless they rebloom. I still have several yet that haven't bloomed, but most of them have at least started.

Jean- Barney is just loaded with scapes and buds. I started with one fan I bought and now I have a lovely small clump.

Kay - Today is the first day posting that I have not had to add some lilies or roses so that I had a decent amount of pictures to post LOL!

Nancy- I have been watching the past few days and knew there were ones that were really close to starting blooming. There should be blooms from now on everyday until it is just a riot of color around here. Great timing too as my spring rose flush is about done and I have started cutting them back again.

I am dissapointed in Early and Often. I bought it to get a rebloomer and that hasn't happened. Otherwise I would have passed on such a plain flower.

Sunny Spot is my fave but I also really like Lava Flow. They are all great!

How large a bloom is Elfin Surprise? That thing really looks well budded.

Last week those first blooms on Elfin Surprise were bigger. But I went and measured and today's blooms are the typical four inch size. I am happy that my bloom season is really getting going now.

It's good to see so many blooming at your place. The Paul Owen seedling is my favorite one. Whatever happened with all those chickens? We need a chicken update.

Debra- Sanity prevailed and I gave all the chickens away en mass. Went together to a great new home for them out east were there is a lot of property and room. Chicken coops are illegal in my city. But I had always wanted chickens and I guess I couldn't stand it any more. Decided to get an incubator and bought batches of fertile hatching eggs.

It was so much fun hatching and watching the antics of the little ones. I had never realised chickens had so much personality. I might do it again some time but now I am busy with my gardens.

Congrats on your flowers they are all lovely but my personal favorite is the Paul Owen seedling I really like the bi-tone coloring.

Rita - They were such pretty little chicks, and you had so much fun with them. It's too bad you couldn't keep a couple of them.

I just looked at your flowers again, and that bicolor Louise Engle grabbed me. Nice one!

Do you have CLOWN PARADE, too?Just can't hardly wait to see your photo's of BARNEY again, and I thought you had CLOWN PARADE too, like Kay has.They are such beauties. I had 2 blooms today on WONDER OF IT ALL, but, did not take pictures today.Wasn't feeling so good, after not sleeping again over night, after the little dog got killed when I was in the yard earlier. Are your NEW Lilies blooming yet? Am anxious to see them.

Your daylilies have really started now and I see lots of buds on some of these. My favorite is the Paul Owen seedling. I haven't had much luck with Early and Often either. I've heard lots of good things about it though so I thought it was just me.

I do love bi-colors so I was really pleased with Louise Engle as it has such lovely color and is early. Difficult to get pretty earlies that are not plain yellows.

Val- I was told by other daylily club members that Early And Often didn't rebloom for them either. I can't figgure out why.

Jean- Yes, I have Clown Parade also. Not near ready to bloom yet though. Those new lilies I planted this spring around the daylilies aren't blooming yet as they are behind in bloom time due to the fact that they were planted late. Soon though.

Sharon- You must have posted when I was writing my last reply. I am hoping for a really great bloom season on the daylilies. Scapes are everwhere just ready to start blooming. You guys that are ending your season all need some extra lates to keep things going.

I still love your SUNNY SPOT. That bright eye really attracts me. TENNESSEE AFTERGLOW is just as beautiful, but in a more subtle way. I'm also really impressed with LOUISE ENGLE for an early bloomer, it has a very nice color.

Casey- I have about 600 daylilies and I have extra earlies and extra lates so once the season gets going around here it usually goes on for a long time. Still, most of the daylilies are regular season bloomers and the beds look stunning when it is all in flower. Love my daylilies!

You're picking up speed, Rita, lol! Many more to come and I can't wait.

My favorite here is Louise Engle, but that Paul Owen seedling has gorgeous tones.

Wow Rita, how big is your yard? I'm having trouble imagining how you have 600 varities of daylilies, as well as all the iris, roses, true lilies, and everything else I've seen. That must be a crazy amount of work. No wonder your garden pictures always look so incredible.

Well, I bought them and planted them and hardly ever got rid of any so I must have them LOL!

My yard is really not that big, pretty much what I consider a normal sized lot back in the old days. But it is very multi level. That gave me lots of oppurtunites for terracing. I actually had to do terracing to get usable space in many pockets of the yard. It also allows for more intensive planting as the terraces let everything get seen. Plus stuff is really not very far apart around here. I have a tendency to jam it all in. Not much grass left here either.
