Not a sweet pea :) I don't know what it is, but I have found them in my yard too.

I thought the flowers looked familiar but wasn't sure until I saw the leaves. I don't know the name but that looks a lot like one of the weeds growing along the edges of my garden in the back yard. I originally left them alone because the flowers were pretty but now wish I'd pulled them as soon as they appeared. They spread by both underground runners and annoying seed pods that stick to everything! And once they get established the roots can be hard to get out.

Definitely a weed - w/ deep, tough roots & pesky sticktight seeds! I believe it's commonly called Florida beggarweed...

Physical removal is difficult due to the deep rhizomes.

Herbicide Use:
For optimum control, make your postemergent herbicide application to creeping beggarweed that is young and actively growing.

Thanks y'all for identifying the plant. It is indeed Beggarweed (also known as Tick Trefoil). It's a pretty plant. I almost want to get some of the seeds and plant them in a pot. :)
