Full StoryHI Everyone! Would you please give suggestions?
I am back at the daylilies after 15 years of dabbling in everything else floral for my garden! I am wanting to find out which varieties in any shade of pink you've grown, and found to be sunfast in my zone. It would be nice to find some that bloom in mid or late season.
I'm in Kansas City, and I can tell you that Joylene Nicole and Barbara Mitchell are both VERY happy and do wonderfully well, looking lovely all day, even on the west side of my house.
I have Pink Monday, and it must do well in cooler areas, but it MELTS and look wretched, right next to Joylene. :(
I am trying some new varieties this year to see how they do, but I don't know if they'll bloom ~ they are fresh from wonderful Betty at Betty's Country Garden. I love her! She suggested Pink Monday to me, but I guess two timezones do make a difference, so it's hard to know if what does well in Wisconsin will do well here as well. I felt terrible telling her, she is so sweet. :(
Sooo...any zone 6a or higher folks know some good sunfast pinks?
Thanks so much! ~Erin
