We have short light winters, but my big trees shed all their leaves , it’s an enormous amount that can last two or three months, they pile over all my ferns and plants underneah , I can’t help to rake!! and even use my hands where the rake just don’t fit. Come almost spring and I want to compost but can’t if I don’t remove the leaves
