new tomatoes...new camera!!

I am so excited to have another wonderful Fuji. I bit the bullet and bought the best-for-me camera since my other one got worn out!

Here's my practice shots...

Tomatoes DuJour{{gwi:824243}}From Winter Tomatoes in Paradise

Center-2 Robust Florida 91, at back the small but Luscious Talladege, to the right 2 Green Zebras are supporting a fat Husky Cherry Red and in front, Galina's yellow cherry and the left are Dr. Carolyn. 2 Sugary grapes rest on the yellows.

I am digging this camera. It takes such wonderful pics and the color is so rich.

Here's a centerpiece with flash and a my lovely Vera amaryllis in bloom.

great photos! I just ordered Sungold starter from Amazon, which must be similar to your Galina's. I had the Sungold's at Worden Farms and thought they were awesome. They never arrived in our "share" during season however. Your tomatoes look like movie stars...NR

I lost them from neglect. I got sick and couldn't take care of them. My neighbor also cut his tree down durring that time and my plants toasted.....I was getting constant panic attacks. Even laughing would trigger one. Since then I've learned to deal and not panic :) I'm remarried and this hubby likes plants. When I can't tend to my plants he will. I have a great support system now ❤

Malathion is a very broad spectrum poison that is listed by the Pesticide Action Network as a "Bad Actor" because of its potential carcinogenic and genetic damage tendencies. The Spectracide Triazicide says "Home and Garden" althjough nothjing I can find says it can be used on the vegetable garden. This does appear to be of lower toxicity then the Malathion but is still a very broad spectrum poison that will do much more harm than good because it will also kill benefiical insects. Those leaves good have been an indication of a soil nutrient deficiency, probably not of an insect. The wee buggers you saw may well have been aphids and those can be knocked off any plant they are on with just a sharp water spray, no poisons potentially harmful to you and your family necessary.

The plant is just a couple of inches taller than it was three months ago? Moist, and in 90F temps? My seedlings grow that much in a week. You have a BIG problem. I'd have to be a bit suspicious about the mix you repotted it in. Have you successfully grown anything else in that stuff? It it a reputable mix? That being said, overfertilization could cause problems. I assume you're following instructions when using that plant food. Fertilizing with every watering using a fertilizer with a mix that is intended for occasional use is not good.

Wondered where you've been. Gorgeous photos as always. My Galina cherries are just getting ripe as Dr. Carolyn heads into the great composter in the ground.

I had so many Dr. C's I had to think of new ways to use them up. Tonight I blendered them and added to soup.

Vera is a beauty, what a pretty color.

Nice pics cindee ,i just got in off the road today .my tomatoes are doing great.Only one that hasnt set fruit is florida pink,it better get to it or it wont be back.Brandywine OTV is another that isnt setting as well as i was hoping but it does have a couple fruit now.Both of the goose creeks are setting great now and brandyboy is coming on strong too.Both of my carmello's are really loading up nicely.Costuluto Genovese is loving the heat and humidity and loading up with some big ones and i cant forget about burbank which has started to load up.Will wait till they got further along and iul get some more pics.

Great pictures Cindee, think it's time I get a new camera, mine just won't hold a charge anymore and I can't see buying a new battery for an obsolete camera.... :-( :-)
