Growing up in the bayous, I was taught that if you wanted to hunt alligators, to bring a dog in the boat with you. The alligator will find YOU!

A friend of ours who hunts hog went to a sod farm to rid it of the swine beasties. The dogs did their job of getting the hogs and one headed to the pond for a drink. In a blink he was snatched up by the gator,before the hunters even got their guns lifted!

OMG...remind me never ever to let me dog run loose by water :-) She would be such a tasty treat. Maybe I should rethink wanting to live on a lake :-)

My Dad use to tell us girls that if we weren't good we would be used for gator bait! Didn't work!
