I found this today while planting some of my Freeze-Sale plants. What the heck is it? There is nothing in my yard that is similar. To me, it almost looks like a pistachio...but it's not that.

I don't know if the green part is actually 'two seedlings' or one from the now empty shell? The other seed is intact and starting to pop open. You can see some of the green popping out.

The shell is slightly smaller than a pistachio nut shell.

Is it something invasive or some 'rare plant-gem'?.......(ha ha ha...fat chance...my guess is invasive or some giant, fast growing tree.)
