Bali Watercolor is wonderful! Spiders are another form I don't have much of so I decided to get a few more. 4 FFO's has got to be a sign it is a prolific bloomer all season, yes?

Ooooo... I am still waiting for ROMAN COHORT to bloom. I didn't even expect it to this year, seeing as I planted a single fan this spring - but it has a nice looking scape on a very healthy fan, so I can't wait. Your photo makes it easier! :o) As a bonus with RC, I got a fan marked "TRUE HEART" which is an older (80's) variety. When it bloomed, it was definately not 'TRUE HEART' but instead 'TRUE NORTH'!! Yippee for me! Bloomed for the first time a couple days ago. Really loved the substance and how well the flower opened.

ROMAN COHORT and FREEDOM'S TRIUMPH have to be my faves. Love the rich color on both.

Great pix! I keep thinking I need Hillbilly Heart - it's always looked great in every photo I've seen of it.

Great shots. I am never out in the garden so very early thaqt I have to worry about the dew.

MOON WITCH - This one's for Ellie. Weeds can add a lovely jungle ambiance. Poor little MOON WITCH is nearly covered with vines. I'll work on freeing her tomorrow if it's not raining.

HENRY LORRAIN, a Munson, is known as the cultivar with the most consistent petal pinching/pleating. It's much more ruffly this year.

DANCING SUMMERBIRD trio - My husband took this photo, and I really love it. Mine wasn't nearly as pretty.

SEMINOLE WIND had her ffo with 5 blooms today. This one just glows at the end of a hot, humid day.

Debra, that didn't look like weeds on Moonwitch. It likked like Honeysuckle. She is a beauty and ya gotta love TN and BW.. TN reminds me of hot fudge on vanilla ice cream..yum!!! My SW had one bloom this morning but I was in a hurry and didn't get a pic. I did, however get a pic of 2 or 3 seedlings that impressed me on the second year blooms. All of your pix are really reat. You take nice pictures....Ellie

HENRY LORRAIN is funky! I love the colors! Did I hear you say that it has consistent pleating & pinching? Yes! I shall add that 1 immediaely!

Lala - You will love Ada May Musick! Mine is planted next to August Frost, and with all the rain we've had, that one grew gargantuan fans (4 feet tall) and stole a lot of Ada's sunshine. She's not as tall for me this year, and she doesn't have the great branching she had in the past. But she'll still have a pretty long run, and hopefully will rebloom. Julie Newmar's another irresistible girl. I hope she does well for you up there. I have a big clump of Bali Watercolor now - 11 fans. The scapes don't have a lot of buds this year, but I've got plenty of scapes.

Michelle - You really lucked out getting TRUE NORTH by mistake. I understand it's an incredible rebloomer.

Sue - Hillbilly Heart is a great one. I highly recommend it.

Rita - I was out at 6:15 a.m., but the heavy dew stayed around until about 10. If often does that here in June.

Ellie - You are right. That's honeysuckle. But it's become a weed here and is strangling daylilies and clematis on the side of the house.

Chris and Kay - Freedom's Triumph is a really vibrant color. It's not an early morning opener, like I prefer, but the dew doesn't marr it , so that's a plus.

Lala - HENRY LORRAIN is supposed one of the more consistent pinched/pleated petal cultivars. Every time it bloomed for me last year, it showed some pinching. At times, it's much more extreme. However, it's very scarce, and it appears to be a very slow multiplier. I bought two fans last June, and I dont' have any increase yet. It is fertile both ways.

Your pictures are always wonderful. I'm trying to cut back, but I think 'm going to have to get Hillbilly Heart and Julie Newmar at least. Moon Witch is a fabulous performer for me.

I just love Henry Lorrain! I tried googling it & found another thread of yours when you purchased it from Foxhaven Gardens. That picture is really cool!

This last batch are great too. As for 6;15, I am in bed asleep. Not a morning person and the dew doesn't last here. If I had to take pictures of my flowers before 10AM, well, sorry to say there would never be any photos :-((

Ada May Musick, Freedom's Triumph, Gilded Knight, and Roman Cohort are my favorites; but I think I will need to wait until they go down in price a bit. Ada and Roman, especially, seem to be sufficiently new that I haven't found a source for them yet. I hadn't heard of the others before, so I don't know about them.

Your pictures are just gorgeous! I love Seminole Wind, Ada May Musik, and Hillbilly Heart. Must get those!
