Feeding Arborvitae Nigras in Fall? Yes/No and What to use?

We put in 6-7' arborvitae nigras in July. Have been watering them diligently with a soaker hose and they seem to have transplanted very well. Few brown/dropped leaves and branches early on but healthy appearing since then.

With the cold weather last night, I have accepted that Fall is here and am wondering if I should feed the trees. A friend used Holly Tone on her Green Giants and swears by it. Reading online tells me that I should be using a 12/6/6 product which is different from the Holly Tone. Others say don't fertilize at all.

Hoping to stack the deck in the trees favor before a predicted long, cold, snowy Winter and also trying to get them to grow to final height/width as quickly as I can.

Appreciate any thoughts.
