Well, Kate, the water main has been fixed, and we now have a "Sunken Road" (Civil War reference) in our driveway as the dirt settles back into the trench. Soon we'll get a load of new gravel for the driveway. DH has yet to get my sewing room closet put back together... Hopefully this week. So my room is still a wreck!! I couldn't stand it though, I had half the family gone camping this weekend, and the little ones went to bed. How could I NOT do any sewing?! I could stay up as late as I wanted! So I moved a few things and whipped up a little 14" square quilt for DS's guinea pig! (We hold him on a towel in case he pees while we're holding him.) All from scrap strip sets!! Birthed it with simple quilting, and I can say I finished a quilt in an hour! If felt good to do something, but the room is driving me nuts!

I'm getting excited too. I'm so ready for a treat, just for me. I plan to eat, sew, visit, eat, sit on the deck, eat, play games, sleep, eat, sew. If there is time perhaps a snack or two. Anyone else want to join in the fun? I have games and prizes!! beverly

I'm sure there'll be a corn field just down the road. Few cobs roasted in the coals??? If temperatures continue to be cool (60s at night here) in the mountains, we just might want that fireplace!! Wouldn't that create great ambiance!

Here's the whole story if you have time to read it..This is from the reality show...Big Brother.. . Donny is the oldest guy in the house and all the other guys formed a group at the very beginning. Most of them are young college guys or young guys about the same age and starting out their careers and had nothing in common with him and totally left him out...what they didn't take into consideration is that the viewers loved Donnie. And Donnie fought like hell against all of them to win, even though it was a losing battle so we are trying to secure the meager Americas Favorite $25K for Donnie...which he would probably win anyway except for the Ariana Grande twist...and all of her 13 year old minions. Frankie is her brother and said he was playing for charity to build dance schools in Africa...but these American kids are playing to pay off college debt. the leader right now is a thirty year old from the NE trying to win to buy a house for his family. Donnie is a groundskeeper for a school district in North Carolina. He quit his job in order to play this game and hoped to get enough money to also to win enough money to maybe make a down payment on a house and to marry his long time girlfriend Christine. Donnie doesn't normally wear a beard that long or at all but DBS wanted a Duck Dynasty entry and asked Donnie to grow out his beard and wouldn't let him shave it even though he ask as he thought he would "fit in" better with not beard...They thought with the beard and southern accent, he was a hick...and then they couldn't figure out what or who he was. CBS is a parent company in Araina's label and it was very underhanded in having him on the show. It just so happened to premier as her big album premiered and also as she was doing the VMA's and all those big shows...so it was a publicity..He claims to be a big mogul but I don't believe it because he was talking to one of the guys one night and he said, he didn't really have anything to go back to. His family is however said to be wealthy.. I watched his videos and they are geared to 13 year old's or gay men...some of them are disgusting...talking about riding Justin Beiber's equipment The whole thing seems to have been set up for Frankie ..at the end they offered two of the team members one was Frankie and the other Derrick an extra 50K if they managed to get to the final two and if one of them won...this was a ploy to help Frankie win...very underhanded of CBS..
