Did you use the aloe when the scar was forming? That's Aloe's main function, to help healing and preventing of scar tissue during formation. I am a person who forms keloid scars, so I am rather hopeless about it. My sister sat on a heater at that age and burned her fanny, and the scars lasted 10 years...then *poof*... but then I have seen a friends scars from when she was 4. I think your idea was best, I think scarring is better than skin grafting which kind of creeps me out. Then, she'd have 2 scars. I'd keep up what you are doing. I looked everything up, looks like a good combo. Also, you might try rice bran oil... it has natural sunscreen properties, and you want to keep the sun off it for a couple of years, or it will turn dark and never match with the other skin.

I ordered some essential oils from an online website one time that were about half price of other sites. I was hot when the oils arrived and labeling clearly stated it was not for internal use. The website was not so clear. I was assured I could use it for internal use when I called the company, just that they weren't licensed as such. Geeze! Anyway, you should be able to use such a product for horticulture.

Great tip -- will give it a try. I have some freesia oil in the house. I've found I can get a similar effect using Caldrea laundry liquid. It isn't super concentrated, a small amount does a good job of washing, and it both deodorizes and leaves a slight fragrance. They have lavender. I also like their Sweet Pea (though they market it for nursery) and Sea Salt Neroli. Currently I'm using the Palmarosa and Wild Mint. Their linen spray with the same fragrance makes bed sheets smell heavenly, too. Mrs. Meyer's is the sister brand.

Hi, this is my newest project. I am a glass blower and i am just blew myself a apparatus to steam distill my own essential oils. So far i have done, California bay leaves, lavender, oranges and a failed first attempt with spearmint. However i plan to do Eucalyptus, peppermint, and possibly some Lactarius Rubidus (Candy Caps) a mushroom that when dries has a strong aroma similar to butterscotch or maple syrup. I am wondering if anyone else is knowledgeable with distilling their own oils, buti am more concerned about mixing certain oils together, and how it may effect the PH levels of my soap as well as other biological effects. Also i was wondering if burning some essential oils in my candles may produce vapors that are unhealthy to breath?
