Regarding posting pics

Hello

Okay, this is old stuff, but stuff I'm confused about. I wanted to post some not-so-great-pics, but the process seems too confusing, and I don't know of any free picture hosting sites. I don't want to join any fee-based picture hosting site right now, and I'm not sure how Hortiplex works. I just want to add my pics within my message, but I guess I need a host, any suggestions? I know my pics are slow in coming, but I'm a one man operation with little time on my hands. Also, if you have the info on the html, appreciate it. Thank you to everyone who responded to my newbie message!

I have never even looked at that Horiplex listing, I have no idea how that works or if it saves you from haveing to uplade to a picture hosting site like photobucket. That is what we all use. Photobucket or another of the picture hosting sites. Then we just post our pictures using codes copied and pasted from Photobucket into the body of the message.

okay, thks for your advice. now i have to learn photobucket, finding the pics i want to post seems painstakenly long. i know, i complain a lot, for me it's murphy's law, everystep is an uphill. Anyhow, i'm trying a few tonight, not too good pics. Most of these are in pots, and won't get planted till october, maybe sooner if i can get the digging progressing faster. It's tough when your soil is nothing but gravel, clay and rocks. Anyway, here are a few, i will post more in the next few days. Thank you for tolerating me. Oh yeah, these are cults you all know about, i'm a few years away from producing my own seedlings, at this point a dream.

I think it is accurate, I will need to look tomorrow, I grow my on a southern exposure with a 30% shade cloth so it won't burn. I think I'm in zone 9 and not 10. Temps have not dropped low this year. Meaning under 30F Now please tell me where you live, and what conditions are you growing yours, I want to know what makes the difference, I have two mature plants. It really turned red this year.

You did fine--and I'm enjoying the pictures tremendously. I just spent the past week mulling over some new (for me) hosta--my semi-shady/high shade area got destroyed (along with most of my hosta) when they took down the giant sycamore some years ago, but now my river birch replacements are giving enough shade that I can once again consider growing hosta. You have shown pictures of a number of the ones I have been closely considering. So helpful to me--as well as being such lovely shots of them. When you hit the message preview screen your pictures should show up. If not your doing somethine wrong. In this case copying the wrong code. You need to copy the third one down, the HTML code. You can see above that your pictures are not showing up.
