I was wondering, does anyone have any experience with this Fir? I notice some think it's better categorized as a subspecies of A. bifolia. Also, has anyone grown straigth Abies lasiocarpa? Do they retain their narrow upright growth habit in cultivation? Which one of these would likely be more heat tolerant? I'd suspect Abies lasiocarpa would be based merely on wild habitat, but that's just my guess and I have no experience with either plant.
