Got my secret santa package from Anne

Thank you so much Anne! I am sick so John brought it home for me at lunch today. He will help me get everything tended to when he gets off work. I am really happy with what you sent. Having trouble with the computer so can't post pics yet but I got all sorts of nice stuff.

Cyrtanthus (gotta look it up)

Two amararyllis Yippe!

A red and a yellow plumeria (John's going to steal those I bet, lol)

variegated ginger Didn't have it yet but had been eyeballing it at the store, lol.

Musa Bordelon think I am really liking bananas glad to have another one

organic chocolate bar hiding it from John

Beautiful candles in little teracotta pots with dried flowers and leaves pressed into the tops love em!

Moonflower seeds so happy since I don't know if mine will have time to mature before frost and they are my favorite smelling flowers and didn't have anymore to plant.

Aclepsia silk red seeds always wanted one never wanted to pay the outrageous prices they want for the plants here, lol.

Pink Glory bower pandora jasmanoids seeds gotta look it up. I had a vine I thought was a pink bower but I never saw any seeds. Yippe if its the same ones I can plant them everywhwere I love it.

Salvia Coral nymph seeds don't have them yet and love all sorts of salvia.

Kristy what a pick me upper with you not feeling good.

Now I have a question..what is ANNE's name here? Either I am really bad today or Anne is fairly new?

Anyways...ANNE thanks for making Kristy feel a lot better and being such a great SS.

HAH you sound like me, Kathy, I love handmade items so much, but always seem to buy most of my favorite junk instead. Going to junk stores or yard sales is something I do mostly just to get out of the house, it's fun to just mosey around with the intention of just having a nice time. I have my favorite neighborhoods, resale shops, etc, and when the mood strikes I venture out. I have been looking for SS items too, look forward to knowing whose name I got so I can try to figure out the best junk for their tastes. So this weekend we'll all have the name of our SS person! As I told Kirk, this is my first SS ever, at my age there's not too many first time anythings for me anymore! LOL So I'm excited! ~tenderlee

The company appears to me to be a specialty grass nusery, I probably would avoid ordering from them with daylilies in the future. The ones they offer are common older diploids, used in landscaping design work. Check out maryotts site, its better to spend money on two daylilies that you really want then to spend half the money on 10 you may not want later. I learned this the hardway over the years. Less is sometimes more. Maryotts is probably the best reseller of daylilies out there, they do hybridize there own, but thats not what they are known for. Silverkelt

Kristy, I was sorry that I had sealed up the package before I caught on to the fact that you were having some friction with your husband over the GH. I had a bottle of massage oil I would have thrown in. Next time...

Kristy, Hope you feel better soon! How are the pooches? You got a wonderful package, but I think the variegated ginger was supposed to come here!! LOL!!! They don't sell ginger here so I have been admiring the variegated one online. Hope yours grows well!!! Anne sounds like you out did yourself!!!

Thank you again Anne. I could use a massage, lol. I think all that stress and pushing myself too much just got me worn down and I got sick. Must be something going around though since John came home early from work sick and he never gets sick. I have my candy bar hidden until I feel better then I'll share it with John, lol. Took some Nyquil and going back to bed in a minute. I can't believe the compter turned on with only two tries. Its my lucky day, lol. Lucy chewed the cord up and it did something to it. She is getting big. I'll have to post some more pics when I am feeling better.

Now I am wondering what you were suppose to have done with the massage oil? Give JOHN one so he will become like butter under your fingers? lol

As for me chewing up the cord....NOT. I had a great dinner rofl. But I am getting BIG roflmao

Kristy you and John get better real fast! Sorry that one thing hits you after another. At least you both are in bed together :-))))))

What an AMAZING SS box you got Kristy! Do you know what colors the bulbs are? If not, it will be great when they bloom for you. Now, why are you sick? You better take care of yourself.

I don't know what color the bulbs are but I love just seeing things pop up so I don't mind not knowing at all. I had some lillies as a child that popped up every year and I was always so excited to see them appear, lol. John is better today and I am a little better. Got the plants all in pots for now since its supposed to get to freezing tomorrow night. I think I just did too much and the stress all caught up with me and left me open to getting sick. I just have a headache and mild nausea now. The sore throat and losing my voice is better. I bet I feel like eating my candy bar by tomorrow, lol. I can't wait to post a pic of my candles. I really love them. Its the sort of thing I would have bought myself if I had seen it, lol. Thanks again. John and I are fine now. I am letting him do whatever he wants to the greenhouse and am just not going to look at it again until its finished, lol. I don't care if its not until next year now. I like being able to look at the plants in the garage anyway. I might just let him have the greenhouse for his stuff and keep the garage, lol. Going to bed. Nite all.

I am glad you got such nice presents. The musa, 'Bordelon' is a pretty banana found originally growing in Louisiana in the town of Bordelonville. They are really nice! Your SS did a great job. Ours used to flower alot down there but I dont think the fruit was edible. The pseudostem would die back to the ground in the 20's F. but grow back up from the rhizome in the spring. They get super tall :)

Thanks for the info Lenette. I have been to Bordelonville when I lived in Louisiana. Very cool. Good to know they get tall. That will help me decide where to put it in the spring.
