Can Cupressus Cashmeriana take zone 6-7 cold

I've been really wanting to add this tree to my little conifer world because I just think it is a really beautiful tree. But I have been warned by many even though some sites say it can go to zone 6, my 7A - Oklahoma is just too cold for it to last long and I'd be much better off going with a similar look like a Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Glauca Pendula'.

I don't want to waste time and attachment trying to grow it if I'm realistically doomed to fail. Does anyone have experience with this graceful tree growing in 6-7?

thx mark
