I picked about a 5 gallon pail of Seckel pears from my tree, which is 6 years old now. I'm pretty sure it was because I hand pollinated with a Bradford pear (last year is had almost no fruit due to lack of no other pear trees currently flowering in my yard). Good pear year.

I was at Lowe's yesterday looking for a trim to add to the bottom of my cabs too! What I did find was something in the section of trim and molding called a 'stop'. I have no idea what it is supposed to be used for but I think it will work. They had it in real wood and in that styrofaom composite. I am not gettting that fake type b/c I think if any dishes accidentaly hit it, it'll end up with bumps in it. The wood one was only ~$5 per 7 feet anyway. It is about 1.5 inches wide with ~1 inch of that perfectly flat and then it sort of tapers/scallops down to the bottom and the bottom is perfectly flat. The total height though is Oh, I just looked on Lowe's and found it: Item # 112386 Model # 916. Maybe they have something a little more substantial too. Please let me know if you find something. I was going to get that trim today but will wait a little longer to see what other options there might be. Thanks for posting such a timely question for me! Sorry but I don;t know anything about the tiling part. Oh and I love that kitchen- is it on the FKB or do you have more pics/close ups? Here is a link that might be useful: Lowe's stops

Think C:\Documents and Settings\ that actual path was retired a very long time ago - there are still some place holder references but all will tell you access denied. You should see C:\Users\Luis\Documents or C:\Users\UserName\Documents which is the replacement path. You should see on the taskbar a folder that will open windows explorer or right click the start button and select 'File Explorer' . You might want to type into the Cortana search field 'desktop icons' and can add 'Computer' icon to your desktop.

Dianela, yep it was me that admitted having 1000 roses and anyone else is welcome to use me as a lesson for their families of how much many roses they COULD have bought but didn't. I'm not alone in having a ton of roses on here, but I probably set some kind of GW record for sheer numbers of roses that die each year and (oh the horrors) HAVE to be replaced. Soooo reluctantly of course (smile). This year I'm only at 222 roses that I've ordered for spring planting, and that's about my replacement rate of roses that die over my zone 5 winters, though I'm getting smarter and planting more once-bloomers and shrubs so I might actually run out of space one of these days. Not this year though. Rockridge thanks for the offer of the pictures. I don't think my patient DH would be too thrilled about a trip to the west coast to look at someone else's roses on top of these new rose purchases too. Hey, I consider that a money-saving measure already. Aha - time to visit the new revamped High Country Roses website and spend all that money I've "saved"... Cynthia

If you mean the 1st plant, I only know it is an Echeveria gibbiflora hybrid.
(Name is on the pic of the 2nd.)

I've never seen anything like it. Of course you brought this stunning plant home, you've got great taste! The other one is its' equal, both awesome!

When one buys a great looking succulent like that in CA, what is the mix in the pot?

Mara, the Echeveria in the 2nd pic is 'Lotus'. I am aware of a 'Blue Curls' & a 'Blue Curl', which is a very large plant (tissue culture), but have not heard of 'Giant Blue Curls'.

Good question, Tiffany, but the plants are so large, the soil cannot be seen. I imagine it's still in a peat-y mix. They make them to retain water while they sit in the stores or are in transit. I'm sure I have many repotting jobs to put on my List! :P
