Questions about cabinet trim and windowsills...

I would like to add a little trim to the bottom of my cabinets before I paint them. I know there is trim called Light Trim that makes it easier to install, but all Lowe's had was one kind, and it was really narrow and not so pretty. I picked up something else that is really just a piece of narrow casing but will have to be nailed in at the front and covered up. But I love the look of

and would like to know where I might find something like it or if it's possible to do at all. Also if anyone here could direct me to some pics of trim that was added to give me more ideas, that would be great!

Next, the Lowe's guy said that we could install a windowsill, but if we are tiling the backsplash, then we wouldn't want to add casing underneath because the tile would be thicker than the thin part of the casing that would be up against the tile, creating a thin ledge. Made sense to me. But then I saw that the above kitchen also has the windowsill with casing WITH tile. Can someone advise?

Thank you!!!
