Questions RE: Miele, Bosch & KA dishwashers
Comments (25)Diamante Plus installed yesterday and I must say I am impressed, at least initially. Dishes were spotless with all default settings. A couple of questions at this time. With the hidden controls, do you actually have to power off the dishwasher, or will it turn off after a certain period of time? The installer suggested we try it without adding an water softener salt initally. Our water hardness is 10pbm, so not all that bad, but enough to not make our glasses perfect. Also, the installer did not install the heatshield. My husband told him that eventually we will be replacing our cabinetry & formica countertops but I am wondering if that was a mistake given we don't quite know when we will be doing the renovation. We know if do want to do one in the future though. I was so impressed with how quiet it is. It trumps the builder grade GE that we just got rid of by a mile!...See MoreTable Manners

Comments (12)If you allow your new BF to do this, you will feel (or he may cause you to feel) obligated to continue the relationship regardless of your true feelings/opinions about it along the way. Small work is easily understood as simple courtesy -- a small "gift", if you will. The bigger the task the more confusing it can become. Its in the same catagory as an inappropriately large gift early in a relationship. Your acceptance of the gift implies acceptance of the giver. It has always been so. However, unlike other gifts, improvements to your house cannot be returned to the giver if things go south. I like to keep relationships and economics separate until there's definite clarity about the relationship. There's nothing worse than having an ex become a pain because they think the've been taken advantage of. Having a has-been thinking you "owe" them something can be disastrous. You're the only one that knows where this relationship is at. Be careful. Be considerate of yourself, as well as him....See MoreFlowering leaf node count near ?????
Comments (13)Mike The leaf node count for a seed grown Meiwa kumquat comes in at around 40 leaves from the roots. It is also necessary for the meiwa to have significantly more than 40 leaves and they must be spread over many branches. There have been enough garden web post of pictures of seed grown kumquat trees with flowers. These Trees are around 2 feet tall, but well branched. This indicates this number around 40, but the trees have 200+ leaves total. I am going to guess that the count on my tangerine tree will be somewhere between 150 to maybe 250. A tree with 10000 leaf count would put the tree at 208 feet tall. 1000 makes for a 21 foot tree. Dave you LOL'ed the idea of counting node. I would have never thought of counting. Thanks, It took under 2 minutes. Steve...See Morenero
