Heat Stressed Redwood??

Is it possible that a Aptos Blue Redwood could suffer from extreme heat? We've had really blazing hot weather (like many of you) in Fresno - I think we had 17 days of 100+ and 12 days of 110+. I just noticed today that about 1/3 of the way up my Aptos Blue (6 year old tree, probably 40 feet tall) the branches are sagging significantly. In fact, I nearly blamed a neighbor for doing a hack job on my tree over the fence, but there are no cuts where branches should have been. Do you think it is heat and if so, will a good deep soak bring it back to it's original vigor? Our temps have moderated this week to the mid-90's.
