Dogwood vs serviceberry

I have a place in the yard where I need to replace a 20 year old mugo pine. I would love to put a weeping conifer there but there is too much shade. That's why the mugo is going.

I am drawn to the serviceberry because I love fall color. But I am considering the Cornus kousa because I understand that they layer the branches in a delicate and elegant way somewhat like some of the Japanese maples. The spring bloom is a plus.

This is in full shade though high shade. Average water and somewhat alkaline soil. Any votes?
