Snow Fountain Cherry Tree

I have just inherited a cherry tree in a pot. I live in an apartment and plan to move in two years so I can't plant it in the ground. Will it survive this way and is there anything special I should do with it? It does seem to be almost too big for the pot its in now. its about 4 ft. tall and has already flowered this year.

Re-pot into larger container. May have to wrap container with insulation during winter if you are in a cold climate.

Hi Ken, it's not planted there. It's currently in its pot and I took the picture on the walkway where it's sitting till I figure out if it's a Snow Fountain Cherry or a Double Weeping Cherry. If it's a Snow Fountain it will be planted about 6' from a walkway. If it's a Double Weeping Cherry it will be returned.

Yes, Tricia, all the pictures I've seen are Gorgeous, especially Spring and Fall. We are putting in a semi-circle in the back yard just for the birds and this tree is the focal point. Or maybe this was my excuse to buy the tree. Anyway, I'm thrilled the birds will like it too. What makes the birds happy makes us happy. lol. We want to add some shrubs where the birds can find refuge and provide food for them too. We took with us the list provided by the Shrub forum when we went shopping locally and only found Cotoneaster. Can anyone suggest any good online sources? Best Wishes, Barbara.
