I recognize one of the grasses as what I believe is purple fountain grass. I think it does well in Texas as I have had it in my gardens but make sure it gets water at least twice a week. It gives nice color to the landscape.

Don't forget anywhere north of Austin in Texas does have a winter, so not the best time to plant. Better to wait until mid March.

The purple flowering plant is Mexican Bush Sage, and the pink flowering plant in the foreground looks like Society Garlic.
