Presuming the "emeryville" location is that of Emeryville, CA, I am in the same climate you are in the Bay Area. I have 3 bushes of Anna Olivier, one of which is over 80 years old (it is the cultivar Vintage Gardens got their Anna Olivier from). It is my very favorite rose of the 100+ I have. It grows in the shade, in sun, and is very healthy. Usually a beautiful peach/cream with brick color on the back of the outside petals, it can also sometimes have flowers that are very pale yellow or very pale pink. It blooms continuously in the sun, and repeats in moderate shade. My very old bush is huge (say, 15 feet wide by 10-12 feet high), but I have one I rooted that I keep pruned to a flat shape about 2 feet deep by 5 feet wide (it is planted on our house right next to the driveway) by about 8 feet tall, and it seems happy, and blooms prolifically. I would highly recommend this rose!

And if the foliage is as good as that of 'Lady Roberts' (and I assume it would be)
this is a top-notch rose for the garden.

I know this is an old thread but it came up in my google of Anne O.
I just saw her for the very first time today at the Ringling Museum Rose Garden in Sarasota FL and she is everything I love in a rose. Pictures are still in my camera but wow!!

BTW the Rose Garden at Ringling has a gorgeous collection of OGR's and they are mostly in bloom. They form the perimeter of the garden, which is fitting because they are larger and bushier than the hybrid teas in the center paths.

I highly recommend a visit to this rose garden, especially now. I believe it's free to visit the gardens, only pay to see the museum or Ca d'Zan (gorgeous Italianate mansion on the water.)
