Hey- Thanks Josh ....thought it might have been a real dumb newbie question nobody wanted to answer (chuckle). Been all over the links, looking for the type I bought at Ace last year. They are light green on the underside and very soft. The topside are somewhat dark changing to light at the edges. The big "viens" on the underside are regular, pronounced and connect together very symmetrically. The top side of the leaf is smooth and velvety. In between the "viens" are more very small wavey looking "viens" flowing from the outside edge of the leaves inward. The stem is very pale green and I wish I could find out exactly what it is named. Wish I had pics. Wife just bought a Colocasia Esculenta at nursery, it's about 6-8" in pot. Anything different to the potted ones as opposed to the bulbs I am used to?

Initially, the symptoms of overwatering and underwatering are nearly identical. Underwatering of newly or recently planted plants tends to be a very common issue and if you are certain any previous drainage problems have been correctly addressed, then I'd lean to the plant just needing more water. But I'd want to be very certain of good drainage before I leapt to that conclusion :-) Less frequent but quite deep, thorough watering is more beneficial than frequent light watering.

I hope it works out. My kids love strawberries and I had a planter last year with all the random levels on it. This year I'm going bigger! We only had 10 strawberries last year. I ordered 10 ozark beauties and 10 Gurneys whopper berries. I already have 9 blueberry bushes and 4 raspberry bushes but my kids are an unstoppable eating force! I'm lucky to even get a berry! (& when I do, it's becuase the kids have deemed it funny looking hahaha)

Hi, Patty. I have been studying your photos. I think Patty W might be seeing what I'm seeing. I'm concerned about that rapid growth and the odd foliage and sepal shape. I'm going to attach photos of a Zepherine Drouhin from my mother's garden in Dallas, TX. She was ill for awhile before her passing, and the garden was unsupervised. When I arrived in town, I spotted RRD. Her roses first presented with slightly rumpled elongated leaves and "whips" of canes. Then the "brooms" followed. ZD presented with quite a bit of red, but other cultivars did not. If I were you, I'd be inclined to remove odd growth at the base and discard it appropriately. Then keep a very close eye. Some roses like Lady Banks do frequently produce long canes and skinny immature foliage which normalizes over time, but your rose growth doesn't look quite right to my eye. I hope all is well with Marianne, but I strongly feel that exercising caution is good protocol. Please DO update us. All fingers crossed for a happy ending! Carol
