I grow it. It is one of my favorite roses. Just bury the bud union and mulch in winter and you'll be fine. Donna

It's very lavender here, no pink. Good production, not a huge grower, some fragrance. Fairly nice over all, but I think you will have to spray for BS. I like it better than Paradise.

Lavender here also. Mine makes it through winter just fine with minimal protection, thought the graft is buried pretty deep.

I am in zone 6,Louisville,Ky. Love this rose..beautiful blooms but I do spray for B.S. and this rose needs it in my garden. I say it`s a Go!! Lesley

I am in zone 5/b 6/a in Northwest Missouri about 50 miles north of Kansas City. I plant my bud unions about 2" deep when planting and I don't normally really do much in the way of winter protection on any of my roses. Mother Nature supplies a vast quantity of oak and maple leaves from trees in my yard that seem to congregate around the base of my roses every Fall of their own natural accord. So, I just leave them there and then blow and rake them off in the spring after all chance of frost is past. This seems to do the trick for me.
I only lost one puny growing Strike It Rich grandiflora rose this past winter even though it was a long, cold, snowy winter for a good four months. This SIR rose was not a good grower from the moment it was planted so it was no surprise that it was dead this spring when I went to do my early spring pruning duties. It wasn't the lack of protections fault it died, it was just a dud anyway. I even grow St. Patrick, Marilyn Monroe, and Color Magic which I have been made understood to be very winter tender roses. Mine usually die back to about ground level or slightly higher up the cane, but by first Spring flush you would never know it because they rebound so quickly and vigorously that they are in bloom right along with everything else in the garden.
Supposedly mauves and yellows are the tenderer of the rose colors to grow during the winter, but I haven't ever really found that to be true in my garden. I think the big secret to winter hardiness is a healthy bush before winter sets in and that you have no new red growth on your bushes when the first freezes start. If I do see some tender new red canes/leaves/foliage, etc...I prune it off before the freezing sets in. That way the bush isn't damaged and stunned in the process.
