Yoshino Initial Pruning

First off I apologize if this has been posted before but I may not know the correct terms for what I want to know.

I planted a small Yoshino Cherry in my front yard last year (new house) and although the wife and I new it was just a very young tree we were hoping we could kind of watch it grow up with us at the house. It is now one year later and it has started growing more horizontally than vertically (lopsided) and I'm not sure what if anything I can do to prune this and make it grow more vertical at first. I would like to correct it but if I can't I will replant a more mature (and taller) Yoshino in its place and replant this in my back yard where I don't care as much if its picture perfect. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here are a few photo's of the tree. The pruning at the top of the tree was done before we bought it and the support is still needed as the tree isn't strong enough on its own yet. If more detailed photos would help let me know.

Thanks in advance,
