I found this as a sucker under a stone wall that my dad

built 15 years ago. could have suckered from next door,

my parents don't remember ever seeing it.

This bloom took days to open. it is very fragrant.

new growth is light green.

mature cane surface is green.

prickles straight.

new prickle color is yellow.

leaf margin is serrulate and biserrate.

upper leaf surface slight sheen (older leaves)

bottom of leaf, can feel tiny hairs, barely see them.

mature leaf color medium green

5 leaflets (so far young plant)

terminal leaflet 2.5", length of petiole, 2"

secondary leaflets are sessile.

leaf shape oblong, tip acute

stipules are ciliate, barely visible.

auricles widely divergent.

There are more pictures in the link, hopefully i got

all of the characteristics right but you can tell from

the pictures.

Thank You
