Please help ID this interloper

These two seedlings sprang out at the base of a transplanted redbud (I know, redbuds don't transfer well). I scratched the base of the trunk and it still looked alive (tan and green colored) so I didn't cut it down. A few weeks into spring and these two little seedlings sprang up. Can you help identify them? I have a feeling one might be a redbud and the other a maple, but I'm not an expert.

They look like suckers from the redbud.

#1 is a Norway Maple seedling (invasive weed in your area, so pull it out)
#2 is a root sucker from the Redbud

Sam, Clement, Resin and bboy, thank you very much for your answers. All three P. menziesii should be of almost exactly the same age. Is it a possibility that genetic variances between them caused one's bark to mature faster? It is quite likely that the third one is P. pinaster since that tree used to be planted on small scale for forestry around where I live. Thank you for the compliment, Sam. :) Taxus baccata is a conifer which is wild growing here anywhere; presumably because of its extensive use for hedges. Close to the one I found were numerous "normal" (single coloured, dark green ones) so this one catched my eye immediately. Just went out and smelled a plantaginea flower. Might have to cut this scape and bring it inside. I planted this right outside my bedroom window, but it's still too hot to open up the house. Guess I didn't think that one through... It does make me glad that plantaginea is such a good grower! I've got propagation on the brain.

I haven't looked up hippeastrum. I thought of amaryllis but highly doubt it bc the blooms on this bulb didn't match any amaryllis I've ever seen or looked up online. It had a more lavender pink to it and flowers didn't quite match. Honestly I looked up Crinum lilly and that's what I was thinking of to begin with ( but couldn't remember name) they're really common here in Florida and I saw a crinum lilly online that looked exactly like the flowers these bulb had but I could be very wrong ! if ur saying Crinums bulbs are a different shape than maybe it isn't a crinum lilly ?? I'll check the out hippeastrums though :) thankyou guys for all the info ! I was thinking crinum- it definitely seems it could be but if the bulb doesn't fit - u must acquit- lol - little bit of humor :)

Yup, agreed on the ID. You could probably take cuttings a few nodes long & pot them back into mother plant's pot, to make it look even more full & lush.

Thanks, Resin! I thought that first one was a maple, but not the dreaded Norway maple!

I wasn't sure if redbuds grew suckers; thanks for confirming that one.

The one on the left is a Redbud sucker from the base of the trunk.
The one on the right looks like a Red maple seedling.

Oops, I posted late. Pineresin may have got it I've never seen a Norway Maple seedling, so it may be that.

Hey now... I like our Norway Maples! I know they aren't native but they are a great shade tree, at least on our property. I have very little problems with them. I definately wouldn't consider them an "invasive weed" in the strictest sense. (Out of control and taking everything over). 99% of our trees are Sugar Maples and its kinda nice to have something a little different. (Although I admit I have heard some horror stories with their seeds. We only have two and they haven't seeded. We have a heavily forested property and I could see in a more manicured property they could be a nuisance. Our Sugars seed like crazy also however.....)

Oh we get loads of purple leaved norway maple seeds round here.They're used as street trees and I find loads in my garden. Don't know what a Redbud tree is tho.
