felix-grow, If you are talking about Walls of Water, they may be called something else, too. They are flexible teepee-like plastic cones with individual tubes you fill with water, let warm in the sun, then put over your tomato or any other plants you need to protect. Yes, they work great! If you are using them you don't have to worry about this storm, except if any of your plants are tall enough that the tops are out of the structure. If they are, use Kenny's bucket over the top and rock on top of the bucket tip. Check some of the older threads for WOW (walls of water). Dan posted some pics of his. This is a frustrating spring to be sure. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this is the end of freezing nights till October!

DD, the pics are of my guests (kids & grandkids) & they served as placecards. My kids tease me because I love to use placecards yet I always seat everybody at the same place @ family dinners. LOL I know that y'all will understand...it gives me something extra to jazz up the table. ;o) Hubby did do most of the cooking...I only made the parfaited strawberry shortcakes. Luvs, that is a poem on teh wire thingamajiggie. It's Somebody Said..... The "pedestal plates" are crystal candlesticks w/ a glass plate set on top. I used a bit of double-sided tape to help adhere them w/out having to permanently glue them. Jay, I've had those curtains for over 5 years. I got them @ either Family Dollar or Big Lots...I think I've gotten my money's worth out of them ;o) & want to switch them to lined black & cream toile drapes. Normally this time of year, I've replaced them w/ white lace to go w/ my spring & summer look but I am determined not to change them again until I get the toile. Don't you think the black & cream toile will work through all the seasons? I'm sorry your kids didn't honor you the way they should Purple! ((((hugs)))) My mother wasn't there this year. I got her last year for a Mother's day brunch so she spent this year @ my sister's lake house. Betty, your husband is a sweetheart! Thansk for all the compliments y'all! pupwhipped here...the OP of this thread. Wow, it is ALL really hard to choose isn't it?!? But, ya know, I feel a bit like a fool sometimes to be complaining about being saddled with this burden. Once when I was whining to a friend about how overwhelming it was to me to be remodeling the kitchen in my recently purchased lake home built in 1952, my friend replied, "Kathy, this should be such FUN. I would love and enjoy to the max this project you perceive as torture.....if only I could afford it." That kinda put it all in perspective. She will never get this chance, and here I am complaining about it all and not enjoying the process. But, you guys know it really is such a stress because you don't want to make a bad decision....and all this kitchen sh*t IS soooooooo expensive! Ohhhhhhhhhhh, woe is me. I do pontificate, but I will still say backsplash is going to be the end of me. Thanks for all the responses. I do think it helps to share our angst. I haven't done a tally yet, but maybe I will do that eventually to see which kitchen decision is the most difficult from our GW group perspective. But, as I mentioned before, let's all just be grateful that we are blessed to have these difficult decisions to make. Good kitchen remodel luck to us all.....and let us all be thankful for the opportunity.

My husband died on December 19, 2008. His funeral was the 23rd - This is my fourth Christmas without him. Any real joy in the holidays died with him - it will always been the anniversary of the saddest week of my life. Since then, I've also become estranged from one of my daughters, due to her mental illness and alcoholism. Today was quiet - son and I shared a turkey dinner I cooked. No tree, no presents, no decorations - one grandson called briefly, said he was "making the rounds" and would be over soon - never showed up. I told son if he had not been with me today, I would have been totally alone all day - might as well have just been any old day. Next year I'm seriously considering just taking a cruise over the holidays - never been on one, so maybe it's time to see what that's like. The secret is to not have very high expectations of the day.
