Designing a Proper Irrigation Sys - Questions

I have spent considerable time on this. I have drawn out a full design to cover my 1 acre lot.

My problem is GPM. I had a dug well that ran dry so we drilled an artesian but want to use the existing dug well for irrigation.

Problem is, I only get about 5 GPM from the dug well with a centrigual pump.

A sprinkler design for 7 GPM gives me 19 zones: 3 - 2.25 GPM heads per zone. That's if I had 7 GPM!

If I had more flow (say 12 GPM), I would be able to install a more reasonable system. Material cost alone on this system is $2500!!

Can I simply increase pump and tank size on the dug well to get my 12 GPM or would I be over-stressing the well cavity?

This dug well supplied this house for 40 years with no problem. We are in the middle of the most severe drought in history here in Mass. So, I have no good way of telling my water capacity.

This is a tough nut for me - any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
