OGR fragrance with other perfuming plants

I have a Sweet Almond Verbena, which I simply LOVE, but on its own, itÂs not a very attractive shrub. I would like to plant OGRs in front of the verbena bush to hide its "rustic" growth habit, but am afraid of fragrance overload.

FYI, once my Almond Verbena starts its blooming cycle, itÂs nearly in constant bloom, so fragrance is always present.

Does anyone have any experience with mixing OGRs with other heavy perfuming plants?

Are the perfumes still distinct as to which plant it belongs, or will I end up with a hodgepodge of fragrance?

Thank you for your time.

Audrey
