Full StoryI have a troy built horse sr. no. 442047. I noticed the transmission drive shaft lattrel motion was moving back and forward probably as much as an inch, as I moved from forward to reverse. This is far more than shimming could account for. The only other factor determining shaft latteral motion that I see would be the placement of the front inner bearing cone on the shaft. On removing the shaft I mesured the distance from the sholder just behind the inner cone to the rear of same as 9/32. This inner race was not loose on the shaft but may have slipped. Does anyone know the distance from eather the shaft sholder or the front end of the shaft to the bearing. Baring that where might such info be obtained. Thanks for any knowlege you would be willing to share.
