I think it's my favorite yellow. It does get big but has a nice shape. Disease resistance is better than the average Austin for me. It has a mild tea fragrance. The color is the special thing...it's a soft yellow but not washed out...it's easy on the eyes and blends well with other colors. My plant put out a lot of basals last year which I coaxed sideways. It should have a great flush this spring. It does rebloom. THe leaves are on the small side and there's lots of them. Linda

Great to know it's not so prone to black spot..thanks so much for the responses!! I haven't seen any yet. I do not know much about canker so I will have to educate myself and watch carefully. I will wait and see about the canes breaking off....I will try to post a picture of the larger bush as it's really full of blooms right now and so far nothing seems to be eating it. It IS an octopus like someone said though....I could use advice on how to train it to the arbor however. Should I start now tying the canes to the right where the arbor is? Seems my Scent From Above since I tied the laterals horizontally hasn't had any blooms on those yet..the main cane is blooming well though. Keep thinking I've done something wrong! The pics are lovely and my roses aren't quite that yellow tint yet but there does seem to be some. In a way I think I will love this rose...yellow seems to be attracting the beetles. So far I've only seen a beetle on the Scent F A and I watch daily. Course they are on the Wisteria....that stuff is a feast to them so I'm thankful for it. It's almost impossible to kill!!! Anyway...thanks so much for your pics...it's so good to know yours are large and thriving and gives me hope!! I also need to know exactly what a "first flush" is. If you have only one bud that opens and there are no others is that considered a first flush? Should you then fertilize that bush after cutting the bud off? Also..if there are many buds I take it you wait until those open before fertilizing? Some have many and others of course don't. I should have fertilized my miniatures last week but I waited as the heat was sooo intense. I cut a few blooms off them that were spent and one off my Iceburg but haven't fertilized as was waiting for this break in the weather. I didn't want to burn anything. Best to fertilize late in the afternoon I take it? After I fertilize...when should I then use epsom salts, fish emulsion, and bone meal along the way? I have to write down these schedules per bush as I have 14!!! Wow...I may have bitten off more than I can chew!! THANKS in advance....everyone here has "saved the day" for me!!! :))))

Ingrid, I have had that happen, or something similar. Usually when I prune a large rose hard and move it, it recovers in a year or two, maybe three. But occasionally it seems to permanently change its growth pattern. After I hard-pruned and moved New Dawn it became a largish shrub rose and never again a climber. The same thing happened with Phyllis Bide. I moved it from my front gate to the back fence because I thought it was going to eat the car. Now it is a rather modest shrub. Possibly the back fence is a bad spot, and gophers are pruning the roots as they come grow out of the gopher cages. However there are plenty of robust roses growing large nearby! I can't think of a scientific explanation, but my instinct tells me it is the hard pruning accompanied by a move, which by its nature also prunes the roots. A hard pruning with the rose left in place does not seem to have the same dwarfing effect in my experience. Rosefolly

It's a little early for me to be able to compare the two as this is the first year I have Lady of Shalott. It's my third year with Teasing Georgia. So far this season, both have been very black-spot resistant, Lady of Shalott especially. And both are in their second round of bloom (we had a cold late spring so the first bloom was later than usual). In my Garden, Lady of Shalott is more apricot than orange, but she has a pale underside and a slight pink/orange edging on the petals. Teasing Georgia is more of a solid apricot for me. I don't get the triple digit temps here in Northern Michigan, but both held their blooms several days when we had weather in the low 90s. I need another year or two to evaluate winter hardiness and long-term vigor. David Austin says Lady of Shalott is one of the hardiest and easiest to grow of his roses - hope he's right. Although it may change as it matures, Lady of Shalott has more of an open vase-shaped form, while Teasing Georgia definitely wants to climb upwards (I put a pillar on her this year). Both are fragrant, but Lady of Shalott has a wonderfully sweet fruity fragrance that I love. Hope this helps you a little, dublinbay. I'll know more by next summer.
