what CAN'T i compost

I

Ok so.. i'm a total newbie.. particularly to composting.

i grew up in a house where the woods alongside my parents back yard was basically marsh, so ANYTHING literally ANYTHING that could break down or seemed somewhat natural was thrown in the compost bucket, which was then thrown into the marshy part of the woods.. all kitchen organics, soy-based newspapers, egg cartons, meat, bad milk, everything that came out of the fridge when it was cleaned out, bones, even cooking grease... lets just say the crows had a heyday.

now im a bit older, have had my own place for a while, but my fiance and i just moved and we have a YARD this time.. woohoo! we just decided to start gardening, and we need loads of cheap compost fast.. how can i make that happen? and what CAN'T i put into my compost bucket?
