Hi all. I am dying to grow Louise Odier but she seems to be sold out everywhere. I did find her at two mail-order nurseries but they're selling her in tiny bands, and I want a gallon plant.
Do you think I should just buy the band or wait till I get lucky and find a gallon bush at Home Depot/Lowe's? My local HD sells massive OGRs in gallon pots- I have seen them sell Reine de Violettes/Rose de Rescht/Honorine de Brabant in the past. I have never bought any rose from HD though, mostly because people there do not seem able to answer a question as basic as: is this bush own-root or grafted? Nurseries in Chicagoland mostly carry HTs (go figure) so I don't have any hope of finding a bourbon or two there...
Advice pls? Also, does anyone here know if the OGRs sold by HD/Lowe's are own-root?
