Well, you did better than I did with my ipad. Mine were unusable. Of course, mine is in a heavy leather case that I think I need to remove for picture taking.

No we have been in this house since 1995.
I had some health issues one spring/summer followed by the death of my father and ignored my gardens from 2006 until 2012.

Trying to get things back on track- emotionally as well as the physical. It's been a long road.

I have a thicket of roses I cant wait to photograph when they start blooming. I have:

A Noisette I cant remember
Marianne (Paul Barden) - this is over 12 feet tall!!

They literally have made a wall of roses with no support whatsoever.

I had no idea Marianne would become such a monster. Paul has told me "it's a good idea to whack it back every now and then). Well, I got to all of the long canes I could, but the ones in the middle have survived for yet another year.

I cant wait to see the flowers!

Marleah, I'm sorry for what you've been through, and often at difficult times the garden has to take a back seat, but you certainly have some wonderful, and wonderfully huge, roses. I hope we'll have pictures of them when they're in full bloom. I got scared when I saw your Mrs. B.R. Cant since my two don't have nearly the room that yours has. I'm afraid they'll have to learn the words "gentle pruning" fairly soon.

By the way, very nice house and lots of room for many roses!

I have some other rose beds- but did not photograph those.

I would worry about "the Mrs" in your climate- if mine has managed to get this big without any sheltering, I can only imagine what it can do at your house !!

I have quite a bit of lawn that could easily be turned into more rose beds, but I can hardly keep up with what i have - maybe when I retire!

I will be sure to post more pictures in the days following when the roses really begin to bloom,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I know it was hard to get past.

I have firsthand experience on how easy it is to get behind. I had knee surgery and still don't have things back the way they were. Now my DH just had heart surgery, and I'm falling behind again.

Glad to see you back here, Marleah, and glad to see you working on your roses again and healing after a long rough patch in the road of life. Keep at it! Love seeing the pictures, it will get better and better from here on. :)

Marleah, I'm glad you're back to your gardens and roses. I can't imagine anything better suited to inspire healing and improve both physical and emotional health than the good hard work and the lovely rewards that a garden brings.

And though you may have had to take a break, it's obvious that Mrs. Cant and Mons. Tillier did not. They are huge and beautiful! I am so envious of you all with these enormous beauties :)

Grief is a strange thing- I know I have been "stuck" for years in the depression stage- unable to move on and accept the fact that my dad is gone. It is a horrid place to be - and while this forum may not be the appropriate place to discuss these feelings, I want you all to know your heartfelt sympathies to a virtual stranger has touched my heart more than you can imagine.

Marleah-----I truly understand how diffficult it is to get over losing your Dad----I lost my Dad when he was only 54 ----I was not prepared to lose him at such a young age and so suddenly-----I still miss him ---he was a wonderful man --My children were very young when they lost their father(my first DH) grief is difficult to deal with at any age-----Hopefully your garden and your friends here can help ease your pain---I look forward to the development of your gardens.
