divorcing and taking plants

Unfortunately, since I have last posted, I have left my home and am getting divorced. I hate like heck to leave my yard but I have to. I am asking for my scentimental plants in the divorce papers. I will leave many other plants behind but, I refuse to leave my grandmothers rose bushes and mom's tea roses. I need advice on when is the best time to replant these. I am giving them to other family members whom I trust to take care of them. I will not have a place for them now. I have a miniature rose bush from Grandma and the rest are tea roses. The mystery gardenia bushes are the biggest I have ever seen and I cannot dig them up so they will have to stay behind. Can the roses be dug up and transplanted this time of year? What are my chances that they will survive?
