I really enjoyed my 6x8 when it wasn't blowing away! LOL We put ours in a very windy area of the yard and had to rebuild it almost every year, so think about where you are going to place it. You might want to wrap it with wire or chicken wire or something if it's going to be in a windy area. You might also do a search for the little clippies, cause they tend to fall out and disappear and HF does NOT carry them and ordering them from HF is a joke (or any other part that might be missing!)I gave all my clips and spare panels to my neighbor for spare parts. He uses them! I never got any leaking in my GH except when the air vent in the ceiling stopped working or the door stopped closing. I was quite toasty sitting out there in the middle of winter reading my books among the geraniums flowering in January! We are glassing in a portion of our deck for a more permanent GH/sunroom. I have the same trailer, but with 8" wheels. They're too small! Mine was used to deliver phone books in Denver before I got it. I noticed that it was sagging in the rear. Took the 3/4" marine plywood deck pieces off & found that the problem was that the folding hinge was worn. Removed the hinge and the dolly wheels & drilled a couple more holes in the frame & bolted the outer frame to the inner. Made the deck out of 2X6's (the middle had to be a 2X4). Now it doesn't sag & is rock solid. Had to change the license plate holder to a higher position so that the tilt function doesn't bang the plate every time. Amazing how well it works now! I've had nearly a ton on it & you don't even know it's behind you most of the time. More advice: If you use the stake holders to make sides for the trailer, paint the Front end of the front side flat black. If you apply your brakes at nite & the sides are painted a light color it nearly blinds you! HTH Don

I have had this trailer for about 5 years and it has been great. There are no tags or registration fees here, check with your local DMV. It is nice because it tilts so you don't need ramps to load the tractor (you may need a friend to put his foot on the back or a bag of sand since it wants to rock forward to the level configurations). Folded up it takes up about the amount of room a push mower would. I bought the spare tire (comes with the mounting hardware) for about $45 dollars in case a tire blows, but so far haven't even had a flat. Be careful when you fold it so you don't stretch/tear the taillight wires. I put a quick disconnect at the fold point so I wouldn't have to worry about the extra wire getting pinched or caught on something.

Sheri, WOW, what an awesome project. And the time and effort to document it the way you did will surely help many folks through a very difficult construction project. OH, so many, many, years ago when I was still in the USN, I had redwood and fiberglass house that was about 8X10 feet. I grew orchids in SC, KS, FL, and VA in that little thing. We lived in a mobile home, so the greenhouse got disassembled and put in the home for transport, and the orchids traveled in a rented U-Haul. A couple of things I learned the hard way (you learned some of them also, I see) was that you need more shade than you ever imagined. I suspended my shade cloth above the plastic greenhouse (about 4 inches) and found that the air space actually increased the shade effect, and noticeably decreased the heat load inside the house. Another thing that would be difficult for you to do since your studs are so shallow, and metal, would be to double insulate the house. Mine had 2X4" supports that were wood, so I stapled painters sheet plastic on the inside, trapping four inches of dead air in the walls. You can't purchase better insulation than that, and it gives you a way to mount your electrical boxes away from the direct spray from watering. Another approach to cooling was to use a "Swamp Cooler"....to you westerners, an evaporative cooler. Mount the cooler on the ground outside the house and let it blow the cool moist air into the house. Cool moist air stays low, and the hot dry air is forced out the top vents. the vent opening at the top can be used to regulate the cooling inside the house. Also, I found the positive pressure in the house helped keep bugs outside. I don't know if HF sells different size houses, but I always suggest purchasing the largest house you can afford. The more inside volume of air you have the more economical the house is to heat and cool. Once the air gets to temp, the more of it there is the longer it takes for it to change temp, which means more time off for the heat and cooling. These are a few of the things I learned in my school of hard knocks, and pass them along for information to anyone who is interested. Bill
