Mosquito Dunks and good bugs

I want to put my birdbath in the middle of this lovely round arbor which is in the middle of my garden.

I would actually *like* to feed the bees, birds, wasps, and other critters that are really good for the garden.

I understand I'm also feeding moths which are not, but I'm ok with that.

The problem is, I'm in mosquito country and it can get to the point where I can't even garden if I'm not careful. I'll be cleaning out my rain gutters as soon as it warms up, I have no sources of standing water (and pray my neighbors don't), and although I should be 'refreshing' the water in the bird bath every morning with the hose when I water the garden, still I worry that it will be a big mosquito breeding ground.

I would like to get these 'mosquito dunks' that you drop in water and it kills mosquito larvae.

My concern is that while they always say it doesn't hurt "other life" they then give examples like birds and cats. I'm worried about it killing the bees, not the birds. How do I know?

Does anybody here know?
