First, I would strongly suggest you don't buy anymore :-) I think you would just be wasting your money. The perennial roots (unless properly stored, which I seriously doubt) are most likely desiccated and lifeless. Even under the best of conditions, this is not an optimum way to sell hardy perennials and they tend to have a rather narrow shelf life. Same with most of the other bulbs I can distinguish. Many of these summer flowering bulbs are not hardy and need to be dug for winter storage anyway. When they have been sitting for months after their intended planting time, the bulbs lose vigor and are unable to replenish their reserves without the ability to produce normal seasonal growth. Some - the lilies, for instance - never go fully dormant and are best not stored for any length of time at all, let alone 6 or more months. I'm not saying none of them will grow but do not expect much. Sometimes bargains are not really bargains at all and bare root or bulbs held for an extended period of time after their normal planting time would fall into that category :-)) My suggestion would be to pot them up and grow them on for the rest of the season, then store overwinter as appropriate. Research by plant as to its hardiness for your area and treat accordingly.

You should be fine if you can get them seeded ASAP. I like to transplant at about 8-9 weeks. I plant leeks for both a summer and fall harvest. I sowed my summer leeks (Bandit and King Richard) in mid January and planted them out on March 22. I will start my fall leeks next weekend but I will grow mostly King Richard in the fall since it is an early 75 DTM variety. You can harvest leeks well into winter as long as the ground isn't frozen. The key is getting them to size up before the days start to get short. If the ground is going to freeze up you can either mulch them heavily or harvest them all and either freeze or dehydrate them. Feed them lots of nitrogen for fast growth!!

I seem to recall that you're in S FL, treimink? In that case it is really too late for cucumbers till the fall. Any fruit they produce is likely to be riddled with pickleworms. ETA The pickleworm moth lays tiny eggs in the flowers which become encapsulated by the fruit as it grows. So you get fruit that looks beautiful from the outside, but which is crawling with creepies when you cut it open. It's one of the main reasons why people down here usually pull cucurbits after the end of May.
