I need help identifying this strange plant growing in my yard

So this plant started growing in my yard and ?I have no idea what kind of plant it is. I've been trying to identify it for days but no luck. I hope someone can tell me what it is.

Cultural link below. The link says hardy down to Zone 7 and my AHS reference states to Zone 6. The USDA website data base shows it is native to VA down to FL. I had one at the back of my pond planted last fall and it did not make it, but as a child my father grew two not 65 miles from where I am and they came back every year. Could be my plant was not labeled correctly or planted too late. It was a fall bargain plant that was in good shape but planted in mid to late October last year. There is a "name this plant" forum, you might want to put this there also. #1 looks like daylilies #2 looks like Solanum, maybe S. dulcamara (nightshade vine.) Handling this plant makes me itchy, you might want to wear gloves/sleeves to pull it up. Unfortunately perennial. #3 bulb lilies of some type. #4 ? #5 ? looks like some kind of critter may have been eating the leaves, could be something that will pass without action, seasonal. Those who know what it is probably know what's going on with the leaves.

So far, the Tall Fescue has appeared to do very well. It could obviously be better, but I honestly just did not do anything with it the first summer I was here. I am going to add some seed to it this year as well as add some fertilizer. The Tall Fescue is under two pretty large trees so I never had an issue during the hottest days of the year. I really like the grass as well as it stays green all year long. Even after we had 3 inches of snow fall, when the snow melted, the grass was still green. As I mentioned, I am going to be actually working on taking care of the lawn this year, so I expect to see great results!

Excellent graphics for an ID, thank you. I agree with Schefflera, years ago my mom planted one outside (Pt Charlotte area) and the thing almost ate the house, every two years with a machete was required to keep it under control. Cut it out if you think it is annoying.

Well with nothing else to go on I'd guess perhaps some kind of Veronica post flowering. However, that could be wildly wrong because we do not know where in the world this is growing and we can't see any foliage. Your best bet is to start a new post for this plant rather than adding to a 10 year old question about a different species. Give us a location and more pictures and we will do our best.

Mr. Sniffles, you need to start your own thread, not piggyback onto one that is 10 years old and now stale and inactive :-)

Include a photo of the entire plant - preferably in situ - and a general geographic location.

For newcomers this site is actually pretty hard to navigate, edit, post and upload pictures. But since we are on the topic of Velvet Leaf and in light of the toilet paper madness because of covid19, I just gotta say....

If we ever DO have to worry about toilet paper shortages... (which is NOT at this time btw) I would just forage around for this plant! The leaves make an acceptable wipe (or so I heard).
