Hi Jenny, I hope this helps. Its been nearly a year since I put the pond in, but has taken me a year to finish up most of the rocks. After I fine tune a few things, I will be working on the landscaping outside the pond. Don't have much in the way of plants yet, but the plan is in my head and on paper. So here goes. If you have any questions, I will answer when I get back.

Deciding exactly where 1st rock will go:

Trial run to check for leaks:

The rocks here are sitting on top of the shelf which is 12 inches deep with the edges of the rocks overhanging slightly to hide the 'drop-off'.

Spring 2010 is when most of rock work was done. You will notice the hiding spots/caves I created as I stacked the rocks.

Frog caves under the mini frog staute:

Skimmer dock cover with rocks underneath the overhang:

Side view of the waterfall:

The bottom waterfall rock was set right above the water level:

Steps leading to the filterfall box for easier access:

A little before and after. Steps behind the filterfalls.

Petrified rock. Notice that it stayed where I put it last summer. I have rocks bigger than this one that I could move. Not this one. Extremely heavy. So there it will stay.

While I worked on placing rocks, I stairstepped them while keeping different levels so frogs, toads, and dogs could climb out easily.

Hope these help.

Enjoy, Vickie
