I scrolled through and loked at them all... I miss our cats. Our's are with family while we're here.

One thing I must say, that shelter knows how to photograph cats well. I know it takes resources many shelters don't have, but it sure makes them appealing.

They are beautiful. Mr. Darcy/Starbucks looks like he believes in dragons, which is an indication that he will always be your knight in shining fur.

Lynn, you are right about the photographs. The shelter is in a rather nice part of the Philly suburbs, and they have lovely grounds and a pet cemetery, which you can see is where some of the photos were taken. I also suspect that some of their volunteers have good cameras and good camera skills. This is a very nice operation. It's a little shambly, as many of these shelters are, but they take excellent care of their critters. I felt very comfortable there. One nice thing: you can take the kitties you are considering to the "cat room" and play as long as you want. How's that for getting you to fall in love?

They are darling & there's nothing better than a new kitten - except maybe two of them.

WAAAAAAAAH! I want kittens, too.

We had our cat put to sleep a couple of years ago and haven't gotten another one. I miss having a cat. DH doesn't want to be tied down with a pet.

What cute kitties, I looked at all of them it must have been hard to pick them, but when you do they are the ones ment for you. The little ones I took home fron the feed store are five weeks now and got even cuter, and have so many new kitty skills. They have been a delight. Glad you are going to have kitten fun too. We quit watching tv.

Must not look at pictures of kittens. Walk away from the computer. It doesn't matter if the youngest felines in the house are three years old. You don't need a kitten(s). Just say no. Six cats are more than enough for anyone. Don't look, Don't look. Oh darn I did. They are adorable. How could you resist the sister?

It was hard, tibs, but the fact is that DH and I learned from experience that we are comfortable with two cats and that three pushes us over the edge. Also, I just prefer male cats, another decision based on experience.

The shelter is having a big shindig tomorrow with a lot of guests, and I don't fear for a moment that the little girl will be adopted. I won't be able to pick up the boys until Thursday, and their presence with her tomorrow will probably focus more attention on her than if she were alone in a cage. But I did think that she would be lonely without her brothers, and knowing about the shindig helped me feel better about that.

The boys will be coming "home" tomorrow. I could have had them today but neither I nor DH will be home most of the day and I'm going out this evening. I want to be able to be with them as they begin to accustom themselves to a space a whole lot bigger than a cat cage in a rescue center. And help them find their toys, their litter box(es), their food and water, and my lap.

Pidge, I just got back from a trip. How wonderful this is - your boys look wonderful and I feel sure they will take over your house and your hearts in about a minute. Two kittens! Wow.

Sheila, in my heart of hearts I've always wanted a big, awesome Maine Coon. But when push came to shove, I realized that it was better (for me, anyway) to take care of a couple of guys who otherwise might be cast aside. They have no idea how much I'm going to love them.

Though yesterday, when I talked to the rescue center and they told me I could have the kittens, I got tears in my eyes when I realized that it was now totally and absolutely final that my old Folly was really, really gone. I still miss her even though I know these guys are going to find some love in me I didn't even know was there.
