I appreciate your concern and I am really grateful, longer I think about it I have more doubts. Today is already dark outside but I will try to take few pictures tomorrow. I do not have macro lens and I am not sure what will be the quality of the picture. Is there anyway to attache it to the thread. I do not think I have seen head or flower of this weed (I wonder I could recognize it? :) ). Hmmm... I am in a similar situation and looking for a product to put on my lawn in the form of a liquid. I am unsure about the temperature requirements but I assume it would be best to either apply in the early morning or late evening to not stress the grass. If you are going to apply it I would apply it as soon as possible if you are planning on seeding this coming fall. Could someone clarify the best time to apply a herbicide to a lawn and the proper temperature/time frame if planning to seed in the fall? I would also be interested in hearing some recommended brands as well :) Thanks all!

Weed B Gon would be fine to apply after the 3 mowing of your new grass. If you bought the version of the product that attaches to the end of your garden hose (a Ready Spray) then that product should be used only with that applicator. If you try to dilute it yourself, you may end up overapplying. Just spray enough to go over the lawn one time, and do not saturate the grass. Starter Fertilizer has a 4-6 week residual. If it has been that long since your last application it would help the grass to reapply the Starter Fertilizer. It can be used in conjunction with the weed b gon. I would apply the products 1 day appart since the Weed B Gon should be on the grass for 24 hours without rain or water and the Starter Fertilizer does need to be watered in.

Wait, if possible. The hot weather would make it a bit more effective on your clover, but also runs the (slight) risk of lawn damage. I've never had an issue, but I don't use herbicides above 80 degrees. 'Round us, that's pretty much up to late June and after September first. If you can spot-treat the clover without hitting the grasses, then go for it. That may involve painting the leaves with the stuff. However, if you're going to do leaf painting, use Roundup instead. The kill is more reliable.
