Centipede in shady area of bermuda lawn

Has anyone ever grown centipede in the shady areas of your bermuda lawn?

I really love the look of grass growing right up to the trunk of a tree, but I can tell that there will be some problem areas in my newly seeded yard. Particularly towards the back where it is shaded by a couple of small oaks and a privacy fence.

My choices are to either plant some shrubbery/garden stuff or find an alternative grass.

I just wasn't sure how centipede would look mixed with bermuda. I'm sure it won't be an issue of it trying to take over, but I do hate the way SA lawns look when they get infiltrated by bermuda or vice versa.
